Our physical device and companion app turn smartphones from sources of distraction into tools for presence and productivity.We’re on a mission to help people take back control of their time and attention so they can focus on what matters most—and we’re building a team of thoughtful, driven people to make that happen.We are scaling rapidly and are building out a dynamic user experience rooted in mobile clients, hardware devices, analytics, personalization, and real-time features.Job Summary / About the Role:Brick is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for our core device and companion app experience.You will be the voice of our users — people working hard to reclaim their attention — and translate deep customer insight and behavioral data into products that create real, lasting change.You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering and design as well as other cross-functional partners to ship experiences that put Brick at the forefront of digital health. This is a foundational role at an early-stage company where your decisions will directly shape what Brick becomes.Location:This role is based in our Chicago office, with an expectation of 3 days per week in person. Given the cross-functional nature of this work, in-person collaboration is a core part of how we operate — with flexibility to work from home as needed.What You’ll Do:Lead discovery and definition of new product opportunities by synthesizing user research, behavioral data, and competitive intelligence into a clear, prioritized strategy.Own a portion of the product roadmap for Brick's device and app experience — from the daily use loop to habit formation and long-term user retention — ensuring every feature ties back to measurable outcomes for users and the business.Partner with engineering and design to ship high-quality product experiences on time, unblocking teams, making hard trade-offs, and raising the bar for craft.Define and track the metrics that matter — activation, engagement, retention, and behavior change — and use them to guide continuous iteration.Serve as the internal champion for our users: deeply understand their motivations, struggles, and goals, and ensure every product decision reflects that understanding.Collaborate with EPD leadership on long-term product vision and strategy, translating ambitious goals and company mission into a concrete, executable roadmap.Drive go-to-market alignment by partnering closely with marketing on positioning, messaging, and launch strategy for new features and product updates.Build and maintain a strong feedback loop with users through interviews, surveys, beta programs, and in-app data — and share those insights widely across the team.Contribute to a culture of high ownership, fast learning, and exceptional product quality on a small, ambitious team.Work with industrial engineers, electrical engineers, and industrial design to deeply understand constraints and opportunities within our hardware and with how it connects to our software.What You’ll Need to Have:Required5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead PM role at a consumer technology company.Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing products that drive measurable behavior change, retention, or habit formation.Strong data fluency — you can define the right metrics, instrument features, run A/B experiments, and make confident decisions from ambiguous data.Experience working with mobile clients; working with both Android and iOS a plusExceptional communication and storytelling skills — you can synthesize complex problems and align stakeholders from engineers to executives with equal clarity. Willingness to lean into the early-stage start-up environment where you can shape product culture and process from the ground up.PreferredExperience working in a hardware + software product environment a major plusFamiliarity with habit formation frameworks, behavior design, or digital wellness research.Background in user research, UX design, or data science that informs a strong product intuition.Experience at a mission-driven consumer health, wellness, or behavior-change company (e.g. fitness wearables, mindfulness apps, health tech).Personal connection to Brick's mission — you've grappled with phone distraction yourself and feel the urgency of solving it.The base salary range for this role is $150,000–$200,000, depending on experience and qualifications.What we care aboutWe’re building a team of people who take ownership, move with focus, and care deeply about the quality and impact of their work.
