Job Title:Clinical AideContract Length:10 monthsReports To:PrincipalSupervises:Primary Role:The ideal candidate will provide expertise and oversite of TMSA Charter Schools health services. Promote health education because healthy students are successful learners. The school's nurse advocates for the physical, emotional, mental, and social health of students.Qualifications:CPR/First aid certificationMinimum of high school diplomaBachelor's degree preferredSkills, Duties, and Responsibilities:Friendly and able to interact professionally and positively with staff, students, parents, and community membersPerform a critical role within the TMSA Charter Schools health programAddress major health problems experienced by staff and childrenUnderstand the TMSA Charter School health care plan to ensure coordinated care.Computer skills should include, at a minimum, keyboarding, email, databases, Word, and ExcelMay serve on IEP or 504 teams if the student has medical needsProvide preventive and screening services, health education, and assistanceProvide interventions for acute and chronic illness, injuries and emergencies, communicable diseases, obesity, substance use and abuse, mental health, dental disease, nutritionAssist families and students in finding medical treatment (health insurance programs)
