Electric Utility Distribution Inspector

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of products. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our high standards of quality assurance and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesUtilizes the Distribution Construction Standards while performing inspections on completed projectsReviews the overall project and compares the constructed units with the construction unit manual for accuracyInspect line construction projects to ensure proper techniques were utilized while constructing the project, i.e.. Connectors crimped properly, grounding connections installed correctlyWill review “as built“ redline drawings for accuracy compared to the field installationUpdate and provide any required reporting to ManagementDuring the inspection process, the inspector will provide documentation and pictures of equipment not installed to standardsRequirementsGeneral knowledge of distribution line construction methods.Able to read and understand Distribution Construction Engineering drawings.Understand Distribution Construction Standards .Generate necessary reports required.Able to utilize Microsoft suite software.Update required documents as required.Excellent communication skills that will allow them to work between Line and Engineering to discuss and resolve any construction related issues that may arise.High school diploma or GED required.Must pass a drug screen test.Must be able to pass a background check and a driving record check.First Aid/CPR Certificate a plus but not required.OSHA 30 Certificate a plus but not required.Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.BenefitsTechServ offers a competitive benefits package including health, vision and dental benefits, 401K, training and development opportunities, and paid time off.Alternatively, you can apply to this job using your profile from Indeed by clicking the button below:
