Middle and High School Math Tutor

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced middle school and high school math tutor to work one-to-one with students in their homes or at local libraries throughout Marin County. This is an in-person, after-school tutoring position for educators who enjoy building relationships with students and helping them gain confidence in math.This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, or educators looking for flexible, part-time work with consistent students and strong administrative support.ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one math tutoring for middle school and high school studentsSupport coursework including pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and higher-level math as neededHelp students build strong problem-solving skills, confidence, and academic habitsCommunicate clearly with students and families about progress and goalsArrive prepared, on time, and ready to engage students in learningTutor students after school hours, primarily weekdays RequirementsMinimum 3 years of math tutoring or teaching experienceBachelor's degree or equivalent requiredStrong communication skills and a patient, encouraging teaching styleReliable transportation and ability to travel locally within Marin CountyAbility to engage and motivate middle school and high school studentsDependable, professional, and organizedPreferred QualificationsTeaching credential and/or Master's degree in educationExperience working in after-school programs, tutoring centers, or private tutoringFamiliarity with California math curriculum standardsBenefits$35-$50 per hour, depending on experience and qualificationsFlexible scheduling based on your availabilityFull administrative support-we handle scheduling, student matching, and billingConsistent one-to-one tutoring assignments (no classroom management)
