Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALISTThe Learning & Development Specialist will facilitate engaging training sessions that foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and employee skill development. This role will primarily focus on delivering instructor-led training (both in-person and virtual), managing logistics, and supporting content creation for online and in-person learning experiences. The ideal candidate is an engaging facilitator with strong presentation skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage group dynamics. This role reports to the Manager, Learning and Development, and requires occasional travel to support training initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilitation & Training Delivery:Facilitate in-person and virtual training, including team-building workshopsPartner with internal stakeholders to design and conduct team offsitesFoster discussion and collaboration among participantsManage training logistics, including scheduling sessions, booking rooms, and coordinating with IT when neededTravel to different SpaceX locations during the year to conduct in-person trainingContent Development & Management:Evaluate, update, and create training materials and post-training resourcesSupport the creation of computer-based training modulesPartner with subject matter experts to develop engaging learning content across multiple modalitiesMaintain and update existing learning materials, ensuring efficiency and effectivenessWork with the Learning Management System team to troubleshoot SCORM/AICC issuesAssist in developing new training initiatives, including leadership development, HR and compliance, and soft skills trainingManage and update intranet content (SharePoint) to ensure visibility of learning programsDevelop promotional materials for training programs and eventsAssist in tracking and analyzing training effectiveness through surveys and feedbackOperations & Project Management:Oversee vendor relationships, including contract management and budget trackingManage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with timelines and prioritiesAssist with interpreting session/course data for continuous improvementBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalency certificate with 3+ years of professional experience* 2+ years of experience designing and developing training curriculumPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in a relevant fieldStrong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learnersAbility to handle participant challenges and foster interactive discussionsExcellent written communication skillsExperience managing Learning Management System platforms and online training toolsProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with learning design tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Vyond, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia)Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting prioritiesProfessional communication skills across all levels of an organizationPassion for learning and development, with a strategic mindset to address skill and knowledge gaps at SpaceXADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Bastrop, TXMust be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends when neededTraveling up to 25% of the time for facilitation and training purposesITAR REQUIREMENTS:* To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
