Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Coverage Needed Start Date: 07/23/2026 Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Call Requirements: Night Call (1:4) Clinical Details Practice Setting: Inpatient OR Trauma Level: Level 2 Patient Population: Adult Average Patient Volume: 4-8 patients per day Supervision Details: Physician present in the OR Primary Duty: Assist in surgery EMR System: Epic Requirements NCCPA Board Certified BLS, ACLS through AHA State License Required Prior to Assignment (no pending licenses accepted) Minimum of 1 year Cardiothoracic OR experience required; no new graduates accepted Robotic experience preferred but not required Required Procedures: Central venous and dialysis catheter placement; arterial line and intra-aortic balloon pump placement; retrieval of vascular tissue for bypass conduit; endoscopic retrieval; chest tube insertions; thoracentesis
