About the CompanyVertex is a leader in rare disease innovation, with multiple approved therapies in Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Sickle Cell Disease, and Beta Thalassemia, along with a strong pipeline across areas like pain, Type 1 diabetes, and kidney diseases.About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Manager, Market Access Strategy – CF to drive access strategy and execution for both marketed CF therapies and upcoming pipeline products. This role partners cross-functionally with teams such as Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Public Affairs, and Field Access to ensure strong alignment and successful product uptake.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute U.S. market access strategies for the CF portfolio, including new product launches and lifecycle expansionsDrive initiatives to communicate clinical, economic, and real-world value to payers, formulary decision-makers, and key stakeholdersBuild and refine compelling payer value narratives and promotional resourcesPartner with field teams to support segmentation strategy, training, and execution planning (POA)Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and broad access for new approvals and label expansionsManage agency and vendor relationships to deliver projects on time and within budgetSupport brand planning activities, including payer advisory boards and strategic planning sessionsOversee CRM strategy, insights generation, and KPI tracking for product launchesDevelop trade strategies and resources in collaboration with field leadershipServe as a subject matter expert on the U.S. payer landscape and reimbursement environment QualificationsBachelor’s degree required8+ years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech or agency settingAdvanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferredRequired SkillsStrong knowledge of U.S. payer systems, reimbursement models, CMS policies, IRA, and alternative funding programsFamiliarity with 340B programs and specialty pharmacy distribution modelsAbility to translate clinical data into compelling economic and value-based messagingExperience in market access, managed markets, or strategic marketing within pharma/biotechStrong project management and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentU.S. product launch experience preferred
