Armed Security Guard

Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. Responsibilities Conduct physical patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches. Manage access control systems to verify identities, perform background checks when necessary, and authorize entry for authorized personnel, visitors, or contractors. Respond promptly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports, managing conflicts through de-escalation techniques, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Perform security screenings and inspections of individuals and packages to prevent theft, loss prevention, or unauthorized access. Operate firearm handling equipment such as Tasers and firearms in accordance with safety protocols and legal regulations. Execute emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety measures to ensure immediate assistance during crises. Maintain comprehensive records of daily activities, incident reports, CCTV footage logs, and security checks to ensure compliance with security regulations. Experience Proven background in security roles with experience in physical security operations or law enforcement agencies preferred. Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform background checks, conduct patrolling routines, and manage conflict de-escalation effectively. Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, firearm handling (including Tasers), and emergency response procedures are highly desirable. Experience working within compliance frameworks related to security regulations and loss prevention is advantageous. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for maintaining site safety standards. Strong communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions are vital for success in this role.
