For our client, we are seeking a Assistant Controller (remote Us) to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a technology-driven environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annuallyResponsibilities Own technical accounting research and memo drafting on complex topics Lead end-to-end global audit management and serve as the auditor liaison Design and implement the internal controls framework, driving SOX readiness Oversee the quality and compliance of month-end close, identify gaps Manage multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation, and transfer pricing compliance Map data flows into NetSuite and collaborate to automate the close Build and automate reconciliation frameworks for GAAP and management figures Deploy AI tools to reduce manual work across the accounting functions Oversee accounting, AP, AR, and cash operations teamsQualifications 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a director-level readiness Active CPA designation Experience in a public company with a focus on mature finance functions Proven track record as the primary liaison during audits Hands-on experience with complex technical accounting memo drafting Experience in SOX and internal controls design Demonstrated ownership of systems and automation processes AI fluency with an automation-first mindset SQL knowledge or willingness to learn for data issue investigation Experience with NetSuite is a strong plus Background in travel, fintech, or marketplace industries is a plus Experience with pre-IPO or IPO readiness is advantageousBenefits Well-funded startup with competitive salary and pre-IPO equity opportunities Unlimited PTO policy Travel stipend through Carrot Cash Flexible workspace options including co-working and work-from-home stipends Generous parental leave beyond industry standards Entrepreneurial culture encouraging innovation and risk-taking Open communication with leadership Opportunity for significant impact within small, dynamic teams 100% employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Access to Disability and Life insurance Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and access to 401k planOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
