If this sounds like the place for you, keep reading!The Sandwich Automation Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment on our high-speed frozen breakfast sandwich line. This includes working with robotic systems and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring that safety, food safety, and quality standards are met or exceeded every shift based on Red’s All Natural Specifications.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Operate and monitor automated production equipment including conveyors, robotic arms, packaging machinery, and HMI screens designed to build breakfast sandwiches from the raw goods stage through the palletization process. Perform machine setups, changeovers, and minor adjustments as needed to meet daily production goalsVerify and perform machine setup during standard production and changeovers. To include proper tooling, film, cartons, labels, etc. Ensure all products meet company standards for food safety, quality, weight, and appearanceConduct safety and quality checks at designated intervals; report and document deviationsFollow all company policies related to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), PPE, sanitation, and food safety protocolsPromptly identify and communicate equipment malfunctions or material issues to Maintenance or SupervisorsBe able to approach and correct simple repairs: i.e: E-Stop reset, product jams, adjustments for film registration, product position, etc. Be able to troubleshoot raw goods issues: Packaging irregularities, incorrect packaging, incorrect raw goods (egg, bread, protein), label issues, raw goods out of spec, etc.Accurately complete production logs, downtime reports, and quality recordsMonitor and improve machine performance through data monitoring on equipment Control Screens while adjusting settings as needed to tune in performance. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S and sanitation expectationsCollaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and drive a positive work environmentBe willing and able to communicate with needs to maintain any and all work environment requirements.Tools, Tables, organizing racks, etc.Operator will need to be LOTO Certified and Pallet- Jack Certified to include a “reach-stacker pallet jack”Other Duties as requested by leadership. QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training a plus2+ years of experience operating machinery in a food manufacturing or CPG environmentHands-on experience with robotics, automation systems, and HMI interfaces is requiredStrong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and GMP regulationsAbility to work in a cold, fast-paced environment and stand for extended periodsSolid communication skills and ability to work effectively in a teamMechanically inclined; able to perform minor troubleshooting and work with Maintenance as neededWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, based on production needsWork EnvironmentWork takes place in a food manufacturing facility with temperatures ranging from -15°F (freezer areas) to 50°F (cooler and production areas). Employees must be comfortable working in cold environments for extended periods, depending on assigned areaRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting. Must be able to regularly lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or morePersonal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, which may include:GlovesSmocksHairnetsFace coveringsEar protectionSteel-toed footwearEnvironment includes active forklifts and pallet jack traffic, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
