Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – Electric Utilities

We're seeking a Texas-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to support our Electric Programs through engineering review, professional sealing/stamping, and optional utility design work, depending on the candidate’s interest and availability. This role offers meaningful flexibility in both schedule and scope, with options for full-time or part-time engagement.Full-time option combining hands-on electric utility design with review and sealing responsibilitiesPart-time option focused primarily on engineering review and professional sealingFlexible, remote work environment with professional autonomyKey ResponsibilitiesEngineering Review & Professional SealingPerform independent engineering review of electric utility design packagesApply Texas PE seal and signature to completed designs that meet professional and regulatory standardsReview drawings, calculations, and documentation including electric distribution systems, traffic control plans, and pole loading analysisEnsure compliance with NESC, RUS, client standards, and Texas engineering regulationsUtility Design & Technical Support (Full-Time or Hybrid Scope)Contribute to electric distribution design efforts as neededPerform or support pole loading calculations and structure analysisCollaborate with designers, technicians, and project teams to resolve technical issuesQuality & CollaborationSupport ENTRUST quality control and continuous improvement processesServe as a trusted technical resource for Electric Programs teamsRequired QualificationsActive Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of TexasBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineExperience in electric utility engineering, ideally electric distributionAbility to independently review, approve, and seal engineering documentsStrong commitment to safety, quality, and ethical engineering practicePreferred QualificationsExperience providing engineering review and stamping for utility projectsFamiliarity with pole loading software and utility design calculationsExperience working with consulting firms or utility service providersThis role is designated as remote, giving you the flexibility to primarily work from home while staying actively connected to your team and projects.
