If you are looking for a challenge that will lead you to the next level of your career, you have found the right place.Position SummaryThe role of a Horizontal/Directional Drill Locator includes operating horizontal/directional drill rigs, locating equipment and product support equipment. Perform semi-skilled activities related to HDD locating along with familiarity with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures. This is a safety sensitive position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Operates Horizontal Directional Drill Locator for installation of underground telecommunications cable conduit, including fiber optic cable.* Confirm bore path with install foreman and drill operator (including walking the bore path).* Perform job site analysis (JSA) including completion of paperwork.* Ensure there are proper clearances to install the product per standards.* Record the depth of the tool head as required.* Ensure the drill head is in a good position at the exit pit to connect the product.* Locate telecom utilities with either Digi-Track or Subsite locating systems.* Ability to work in fast paced environment.* Ability to work safely and with or without direct supervision.* Performs other related duties as assigned.* Traveling 80% of the time.* Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
