Provides leadership and direction for the Patient Safety and Performance Improvement Plan. Maintains a framework for continuously monitoring and improving the quality of care and service. Assumes shared responsibility for patient safety transformation and developing a culture of safety. Identifies opportunities and initiatives to enhance high reliability and patient safety. Coordinates projects across all service areas through the enterprise project management office. Oversees preparation of summary reports, dashboards, and data analytic tools. Analyzes data, interprets findings, and provides final conclusions and recommendations. Promotes delivery of high-quality care through leadership and development of quality and patient safety goals. Ensures compliance with clinical regulatory reporting requirements and standards. Participates in Root Cause Analysis and FMEA teams to provide recommendations for improvement. Provides oversight for the continuous improvement of the Medical Staff peer review, OPPE, and FPPE programs. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. [Required] Ability to work with data that is of sensitive and confidential nature [Required] Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. [Required] Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and visitors. [Required] Skilled in use of computer programs such as Excel, Power Point, Word, and Access or other database. [Required] Working knowledge of or ability to learn and work with appropriate Joint Commission or DNV standards and AHCA/CMS regulations and information [Required] Lean Healthcare or Six Sigma training [Preferred] Just Culture training [Preferred] TeamSTEPPS or other crew resource management training [Preferred]Education Bachelor's [Required] Master's of Nursing [Preferred]Field Of Study In healthcare related fieldWork Experience 5+ clinical experience in acute care setting, preferably tertiary setting [Required] 5+ experience in quality and performance improvement [Required] Leadership experience with working knowledge of Joint Commission or DNV Standards, State and Federal regulations, and professional standards and practice issues.
