We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsTreats patients according to plan using conventional treatment methods.Re-assesses patients and communicates with therapist.Completes all patient documentation in a timely and concise manner.Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Uses appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.Communicates effectively with other health care professionals.Demonstrates an active involvement in continuous learning.Participates in activities which promote department operations and program development.What qualifications you will need:EXPERIENCE:Required:* NonePreferred:* Previous Experience in an acute care hospitalEDUCATION:Required:* Graduation from an accredited course of study for a physical therapist assistant.Preferred:* Associate or Bachelors Degree in a related discipline* Advance training in a specialty area related to acute care patient populations.LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION* Current Virginia license to practice as a physical therapist assistant (LPTA)* Current BLS for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or CPR through American Red CrossSpotsylvania Regional Medical Center has provided quality healthcare services since 2010.
