Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)Are you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working on private S76C or S76D aircraft? Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced, certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join our team! This position will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs including airframe structures, engines and aircraft systems. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) will make repairs and conduct tests to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely. Please note, this position may require working nights. This position is located in Opa- Locka, FL MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P)Basic set of hand toolsAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime, as necessaryAdvancement of Level will be predicated upon positive annual reviews while taking into consideration proficiency of responsibilities along with knowledge, skills, and experience: Level 1 Entry Level Minimum 1-3 years of experience Helicopter experience preferred; not required Successful completion of Level Level 2 Minimum 2-5 years of experienceCompleted an initial technician training class for one of the Flexjet helicopters or completed a training class on initial or advanced troubleshootingPerform routine and non-routine maintenance to ensure aircraft readiness Level 3 Successful completion of Level 2Minimum 3-6 years of experienceAble to troubleshootAvionics Entry LevelERT Qualifications and Aircraft initial training earned on Aircraft Type not on our Ops Spec will be considered during the hiring or review process. Credit for non-fleet type Aircraft ERT Qualifications, Training, specialized skills or equivalent desirable experience will be at the Hiring /Review Managers discretion ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSTraining/Ability to operate ForkliftTraining/ Ability to operate Ground Support EquipmentTraining/ Ability to operate PIVTraining/ Ability on Shop EquipmentTraining/ Ability to Balance Stater/GeneratorTraining/ Ability to Perform Final Ground Runs Training/Ability to use Rads for MIR & T/R Track & Balance PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Foster the Flexjet culture while embracing the company fundamental principlesAdhere to Flexjet policies and proceduresGain efficiency in performing assigned duties in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulationsPerform quality inspections, repairs, component replacement and apply corrective actions to maintain the airworthiness of the helicopterPerform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installationsAbility to sign off logbook, record component entries and document work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Structural Repair Manual (SRM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance ManualOperate ground support equipment including, but not limited to jacks, nitrogen and air conditioning servicing cartsSupport with simple to complex repairs at on-site & off-site locationSupport with performing engine runs for system operations and troubleshootingSupport with fueling or defueling helicopters as needed KNOWLEDGE SKILLS: Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams and manualsBasic knowledge of avionics systems or aircraft systemsAbility to understand and properly use manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), General Operations Manual (GOM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual, and Systems ManualBasic skill to assemble helicopter parts and componentsSkill to use calibrated, hand and specialized tools necessary to perform jobSkill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform jobSkill to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job functionSkill to apply sealing compounds REQUIRED SKILLS Successful candidate will be highly motivated and work effectively under pressure and time constraints Must have the ability to multi-task within a team environment Strong working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs Possess proven inspection competencies Must be detail-oriented and well organized; demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude Specialized aircraft tooling will be furnished by the company Ability to pass background check for airport security badge WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
