ColdFusion - Software Developer

Software Developer I – Job Description We are looking for an immediate position to be filled with a client of ours. The client does work in the transportation logistics industry. The applicant will work primarily in ColdFusion, MySQL and JavaScript. Prior work experience in ColdFusion is required. The Developer I (DEV I) develops code, participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans and participates in testing reviews, and resolves moderate defects. Ability and willingness to provide and receive feedback and implement change. Job Duties Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with a project team member. Takes direction and collaborate from a senior project team member. Communicate issues via immediate supervisor in a timely manner. Creates and modifies computer programs by converting project requirements into software code. Confirms program operation by conducting unit tests; modifying program sequence and/or code. Works with Quality Assurance or team member to ensure code works as expected and to assist with any documentation as needed. Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Adhere to internal Mind Over Data software development methodologies. Follows Mind Over Data’s best practices and documentation guidelines. Other duties as required. Basic Requirements Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred. 2-5 years prior work experience in CFML Programming Skills – CFML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, ColdFusion / Java / MySQL Analyzing Information, Problem Solving, Software Algorithm Design, Attention to Detail, Software Design, Software Debug. Knowledge and understanding of one or more software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies: waterfall, Agile and SCRUM or Kanban framework.
