SVP, Construction
The Senior Vice President of Construction is an executive leadership role responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of construction operations across Csquare. This position leads a team of Regional Vice Presidents, Project Managers, and Business Analysts, establishing strategic direction while providing direct oversight of the organization's largest and most complex development projects. The SVP is accountable for delivering all projects on time and within budget, while driving consistency, operational excellence, and disciplined execution across the portfolio.Operating at the executive level, the SVP sets strategy, implements accountability frameworks, and enables high-performing teams, while remaining actively engaged in complex, high-risk, or high-visibility initiatives. This role oversees all phases of development, including acquisitions, coordination with city and county stakeholders, site and building design, permitting, design reviews, and construction administration.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commercial real estate transactions, general contracting practices, corporate tax considerations, and data center design and rapid development. This role partners closely with Finance, Product, Sales, and Operations leadership to ensure a cohesive, forward-looking strategy that maximizes investment value and accelerates development opportunities.RESPONSIBILITIES - Other Duties May Be AssignedLeadership within the CSQUARE footprintPerform site evaluations and make recommendations for site selectionsLead development teams with Basis of Design for future data center deployments, construction projects and upgrades.Oversee expansion and renovation projects across the respective regionWork with CSQUARE stakeholders, design, and construction teams to create master development program for site(s)Oversee site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards in a predictable fashionOversee design/construction, commissioning services, procurement and project cost estimatesDevelop plans for product deployment and review/communicate plans with CSQUARE staff involvedCollaborate with Sales and Deal teams for new and existing build outsKey leader for CSQUARE pursuit team in identifying, evaluating, and attracting highly profitable dealsCreate cost effective rapid development deals for data center deploymentsDefine and document vendor management framework and establish standard contractual and operational terms for key vendor categoriesImplement vendor scorecard to track on-time delivery, quality, and responsivenessEnsure construction timelines are incorporated into broader capacity and data center planning cycles and develop internal process documentation for all procedures and approval workflowsRepresent CSQUARE interests as leader in OAC meetingsCreate & build relationships that enhance CSQUARE' ability to be an industry leader in creating the World's Most Valuable Data Center Real EstateProvide leadership to team members in a manner that enables them to achieve goalsEstablish and communicate quarterly and annual objectives for team members to ensure continuous developmentWork with the internal team to enhance project management processes and protocolsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering or other related fieldTen or more years of experience within mission critical facilitiesTen or more years of experience in the REIT/Data Center industryExtensive experience with management of MEP tradesMust have a proven history which displays strong leadership skills, deep practical engineering knowledge, and a proven track record for timely project delivery, project management, cost control, and customer satisfaction.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:MBA, Masters in Engineering Management, Real Estate or related field desirableCorporate real estate and tax experienceRapid construction development and deployment experienceMore than ten years of mission critical data center development experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organizationMust be a capable, proven team player that both fosters and operates well within internal and external team environments.
