This role is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, maintaining high quality standards, and driving productivity to meet operational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support shop floor personnel in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all workplace safety proceduresEnsure adherence to quality standards and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions when issues ariseManage daily production schedules, staffing, and resource allocation to achieve on-time delivery, quality, and productivity targetsSupport new product introductions, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiativesOversee employee scheduling, training, performance development, and cross-training effortsForecast departmental staffing, equipment, and capacity needs; assist with hiring and workforce planningLead and sustain lean manufacturing initiatives, including workflow optimization and workplace organization (5S)QualificationsPrevious supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment requiredStrong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and shop floor operationsExperience with ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP or similar platforms) preferredKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive accountability in a fast-paced production environment
