In this role, you will support housing assistance programs by managing caseloads, assisting tenants and landlords, conducting eligibility reviews, and ensuring compliance with HUD regulations. If you are passionate about helping individuals and families secure stable housing, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in public service.What You' ll DoClient Support & Customer ServiceProvide exceptional service to applicants, tenants, and property ownersExplain program rules, requirements, and processes clearlyRespond promptly to phone calls and written inquiriesPresent program information through outreach efforts and seminarsMonitor and assist with repayment agreements Program Operations & Caseload ManagementManage an assigned caseload of Section 8 participantsConduct annual, interim, and special recertificationsReview and process required documentationDetermine eligibility and issue housing vouchersCoordinate orientations and briefing sessionsConduct client interviewsApply HUD regulations and Housing Quality StandardsNegotiate rents with landlords and schedule inspectionsMaintain accurate and organized case files Compliance, Reporting & TerminationsPrepare reports, correspondence, and case documentationMonitor for program violations and recommend corrective actionRepresent the organization in hearings, tenant conferences, and court proceedingsAssist in resolving disputes and conflict situations when needed Additional ResponsibilitiesSupport senior staff as neededParticipate in team meetings and performance improvement effortsMaintain a valid driver' s license and meet driving standards What We' re Looking ForHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 2 years of experience in housing programs, eligibility determination, case management, administrative support, or customer serviceStrong communication, organization, and attention to detail skillsAbility to interpret policies, procedures, and regulationsComfortable working with diverse communities and managing high-volume workloads
