Huck's Market Store ManagerEvery store manager is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the store within company policy and the local laws in such a manner as to ensure that the store is profitable. Store managers also must maintain the highest level of customer service.Job duties and responsibilities include:Gives all customers prompt and courteous service adhering to all best in class standardsEnsures that store appearance reflects company expectations and standardsEnsures that the store is open and ready for business during all hoursHandles all customer conflicts by using our method of make it rightUtilizing all tools and departments to ensure all programs and policies are executedManaging all expenses and sales to budget (or better)Neighborhood marketing (knowing your customer's wants and needs) through community involvementParticipate in all suggestive selling contests by motivating sales associatesIs committed to our vision/mission statement (THANKS)Ongoing recruiting for talented candidates for the companyEffectively schedules associates to meet business demands per labor planner programEffectively communicates with store associates, division manager, and the corporate officeFollows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the storeProvides a role model of conduct for other associates in the storeControls variable expenses of the storeEnsures all associates adhere to company uniform policy and provide prompt, courteous customer serviceAll store manager checklists are performed dailyEnsures sales associate checklists are performed each shiftEnsures schedules are posted two weeks in advance, per policyEnsures all paperwork is done accurately and in a timely mannerMaintains inventory and cash loss within company guidelinesConducts inventories, cash audits, cigarette counts, cost and supply audits as directed by managementEnsures all store deposits are taken to the bank daily, including weekendsEnsures sufficient change available for use throughout all operating hoursEnsures all required documents are sent to the store analystsTreats all associates with dignity and respect and uses the proper personnel management techniquesEnsures that all associates receive breaksAdvises division manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performanceCommits to all training programs by working with the trainer to ensure all associates are trained on their job dutiesEnsures all associates are properly recording all hours worked by following our "no work off the clock policy"Provides an environment free of any type of harassment or hostile conditionsComplies with the company's responsible retailing policyWorks with all associates to ensure ongoing training and development to further their careersRecords hours worked in the workstationEnsures all associate cash handling procedures are followedEnsures all security video surveillance equipment is in working orderEnsures a safe shopping and working environmentEnsures all company assets are protected, including cash and merchandiseEnsures vendor check-in procedures are followed per company policyEnsures cash is only kept in one of three places: safe, cash register and bankEnsures all promotional signs are posted on the date assignedEnsures current plan-o-grams are being usedCommunicates with the district manager for any special needs or requestEnsures that all merchandise orders are sent properly to prevent out of stocks and maintain inventory levels as directedWorks with dsd (direct store delivery) vendors to ensure 100% in stock of productMonitors inventory levels at all times and communicates with the division manager to prevent out of stocksAll food service areas are kept clean, and all sanitation procedures are followedFloors are kept clean and maintainedReports any maintenance problems that cannot be corrected immediately without assistance to the hucks solution center, via the intranetEnsures all equipment is in working order by maintaining proper operating proceduresEnsures that ladders are properly usedEnsures that lifting procedures are followed per company policyEnsures that wet floor signs and floor dryers are used, per company policyReports accidents promptly to district manager and corporate officeReports all work-related injuriesEnsures all epa regulations are met by complying with ust (underground storage tank) proceduresBenefits include:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurances, esop, 401k with match, paid time off, and paid holidaysOpportunities for career advancement and professional development within a growing companyEmployee discounts for food and fuelThe requirements, duties, and responsibilities list is incomplete but is merely the most accurate list for the current job.
