We are unable to sponsor new H-1B visa petitions for this position. .Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft PeopleTools Engineer responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing technical operation of enterprise PeopleSoft environments. In this role you will own the technical backbone of the PeopleSoft platform — including PeopleTools upgrades, image applications, security configurations, search server operations, and integration with cloud and middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will combine deep PeopleTools and PeopleSoft administration experience with strong fundamentals in Oracle database, Linux/Unix, and modern DevOps practices. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and operate PeopleSoft environments across development, test, training, and productionLead PeopleTools upgrades, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) image applications, and patch deploymentsManage application servers, process schedulers, web servers (WebLogic), and the integration broker gatewayAdminister Elasticsearch / OpenSearch (or Verity legacy) deployments supporting PeopleSoft searchPerform PeopleSoft system copies, refreshes, and clones across environments, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standardsImplement and tune database connectivity, including Oracle Database administration tasks in partnership with DBA teamsConfigure PeopleSoft security at the application, web, and infrastructure layersOperate PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling where applicableDesign and operate HA/DR strategies for PeopleSoft environments, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standardsDevelop automation tooling using shell, Python, or Ansible to reduce operational toilMonitor system health and performance, leading capacity planning and tuning activitiesProvide hands-on post-go-live and hypercare support, working closely with operations teams to triage incidents quickly, identify root causes, and drive durable fixes that improve long-term system stabilityMaintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the system remains supportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers onto over timeMentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code review, design review, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing, helping the broader team grow in technical maturity and confidence over timeRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical disciplineFive or more years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experienceHands-on experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)Strong experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler serversExperience administering Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoftWorking knowledge of Oracle Database administrationStrong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting experienceFamiliarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation toolingExperience operating HA/DR for PeopleSoftStrong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsPeopleSoft certificationsExperience operating PeopleSoft on OCI, AWS, or AzureExposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)Familiarity with CI/CD patterns for PeopleSoft change managementExperience with PeopleSoft Selective Adoption strategyHow to ApplyWould you like to know more about this opportunity?
