Family Practice Physician - Part Time
Join Our Team as a Family Practice Physician and Make a Difference in Patient CareWe are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive healthcare services across multiple clinic locations, including Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and associated Branch Health and Tricare Prime Clinics. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality medical care, contribute to team training, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal health outcomes for patients.Required Skills:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school
Minimum of one (1) year of recent family practice experience within the last two (2) years
Board certification in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Practice
Current, unrestricted medical license
Valid DEA certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
U.S. citizenship
Ability to perform full scope of family medicine services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency in clinical documentation and adherence to infection control protocolsNice to Have Skills:
Experience working in military or federal healthcare settings
Additional certifications in emergency medicine or specialized areas of family practice
Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Experience in teaching or supervising medical staff and studentsPreferred Education and Experience:
Graduate from an accredited medical school
At least one year of recent family practice experience
Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations effectively
Prior experience in a clinical setting serving military or veteran populationsOther Requirements:
Provide two (2) letters of recommendation, including at least one from a supervisor, attesting to clinical skills and professional conduct
Willingness to participate in ongoing training, performance improvement activities, and team meetings
Ability to work flexible hours, including days and weekends, as required by clinic schedules
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and legal complianceThis position offers an hourly pay rate of $135.00, with weekly direct deposit.
