POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a driven and outgoing Sponsorship Sales Intern to support our national sponsorship sales team in building and growing our sponsor pipeline. This internship is a high-activity, sales-focused role centered on prospecting, outbound outreach, and appointment setting under the guidance and direction of the sales team.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student or recent graduate eager to launch their career in sports sales and learn the full B2B sponsorship sales cycle within the sports facilities industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Assist with high-volume outbound prospecting calls to help identify and qualify potential national sponsorship partners across target industries
Support the national sponsorship sales team by helping set qualified appointments and learning to articulate the value of SFC's sponsorship opportunities
Conduct market research to identify prospect companies, key contacts, and relevant industry trends to inform targeted outreach strategies
Help build, maintain, and update prospect records in HubSpot CRM, including logging call activity, tracking outreach sequences, and managing pipeline status
Compile and maintain targeted prospect lists by researching companies, identifying decision-makers, and sourcing contact information for outbound campaigns
Assist with outreach email sequences, follow-up cadences, scheduling coordination, and other activities to help keep prospects moving through the pipeline
Help track and report on weekly prospecting metrics, including calls made, connect rates, and appointments set, to support team performance goals
Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Facility Operations, and F&B to coordinate seamless partner activations and enhance operational efficiency
Additional tasks as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong verbal communication skills with confidence and persistence in phone-based outreach and cold calling
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Self-motivated and has initiative to complete tasks in a timely fashion
Highly organized with strong attention to detail when managing CRM records, prospect lists, and scheduling
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
PREFERRED SKILLS
Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM, including contact management, deal pipelines, and activity logging
Prior experience in a sales, business development, or outbound calling role (internship, part-time, or full-time)
Familiarity with B2B prospecting techniques, including LinkedIn research, email outreach, and lead qualification frameworks
Interest in sports business, sponsorship sales, or partnership marketing
