The Medical Coding Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing patient medical records to assign standard codes for diagnoses and procedures. The role involves verifying the accuracy of coding to ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements, collaborating with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and changes in medical coding practices. Qualifications Proven Coding Experience with a focus on accuracy and complianceCertification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or equivalentStrong knowledge of Health Information Management and Medical TerminologyProficiency in Medical Coding, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systemsAttention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a deadline-driven environmentExperience with medical billing software is preferredExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field is an advantage
