This role requires expertise in application servers, messaging systems, and API management to ensure seamless application interoperability and high availability.ResponsibilitiesLead middleware engineering team supporting enterprise applicationsManage WebLogic, JBoss, and Apache Tomcat application serversDesign and implement web services (REST, SOAP) and API gatewaysConfigure and maintain messaging systems (MQ, Kafka)Implement and manage service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutionsMonitor middleware performance and implement optimization strategiesCoordinate with application teams on integration requirementsManage middleware patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activitiesImplement high availability and disaster recovery configurationsEnsure middleware security and compliance with DoD standardsTroubleshoot complex integration issuesDocument middleware architectures and proceduresRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldMinimum 8 years of middleware/web development experienceMinimum 3 years in team leadership roleCompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)Oracle Certified Professional (WebLogic) or equivalent certificationExpert knowledge of Java EE application serversExperience with web services and API developmentActive Security Clearance RequiredDesired QualificationsExperience with containerized middleware (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with API management platforms (Apigee, Kong)Scripting experience (Python, Bash)Experience with microservices architectureCloud middleware experience (AWS, Azure)Technical SkillsOracle WebLogic, Red Hat JBoss, Apache TomcatREST, SOAP, XML, JSON, WSDLAPI gateways, ESB, messaging (MQ, Kafka)Java EE, Spring FrameworkLoad balancing, clustering, high availabilityIPTA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
