Locum Tenens: Pediatric Nephrologist Needed (Near Garfield, WA) Are you a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Nephrologist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Garfield, WA? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital pediatric nephrology care on a combined scheduled clinical hours and call basis (ASAP - Ongoing). This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient services, with a flexible schedule of one week per month (typically Monday, 8:00 am to Monday, 8:00 am). We welcome applications from both Washington state-licensed physicians and those eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges. You'll play a vital role in ensuring comprehensive care for children and adolescents with a broad range of nephrologic needs (bed count and typical patient volume to be determined). Flexible Schedule with Work-Life Balance: This locum tenens role offers a predictable schedule of one week per month, allowing you to manage your workload effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance outside of contracted hours. Combination of Inpatient & Outpatient Care: Experience the diversity of providing both consultative services for hospitalized patients and managing chronic conditions in an outpatient clinic setting. Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with a dedicated team of pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for your young patients. Our facility is stroke-certified, ensuring access to advanced stroke care when needed. Advanced Technology & Resources: Utilize the user-friendly Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system to enhance efficiency in documentation and communication. Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and will work diligently to facilitate temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe of 90 days). Qualifications: Board-certified in Pediatric Nephrology is required. Active medical license in Washington (WA) or eligibility for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges is mandatory. Current certification in BLS and PALS is essential. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a pediatric nephrology setting is preferred. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
