They own many of the most trusted brands in the air transportation industry, including LEKTRO®, JetAire®, JetPower®, AmpTekÔ, Jetway®, and more.The Assembler Technician will assemble, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.YOUR IMPACT Use various types of hand tools in the assembly of automated material handling vehiclesUse and interpret mechanical drawings and bills of material to identify “best method” to completing tasksSelf-audit/inspect assembled work prior to final inspection, using drawings and checklistsPerform simple to complex assembly of components to produce miscellaneous parts and equipmentWork as part of a team to achieve daily production goals in an industrial manufacturing environmentProvide constructive problem-solving input to the team and work to achieve production goals under the supervision of the Assembly Team LeadUse standard methods, procedures and documentation such as routings, work orders, verbal and written instructions, print sketches, charts, tables and other informationPerform simple to complex assembly of components to produce miscellaneous parts and equipmentWork as part of a team to achieve daily production goals in an industrial manufacturing environmentProvide constructive problem-solving input to the team and work to achieve production goals under the supervision of the Assembly Team LeadUse standard methods, procedures, and documentation such as routings, work orders, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables and other informationOther projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretionQualificationsEducation and Experience High School Diploma3+ years of medium/heavy mechanical assembly experience requiredDemonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, bills of material and electrical schematicsPrior experience using hand tools and power toolsPrevious experience using fitting equipment (e.g., cutters, wire strippers, crimping tools)Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsAdvanced knowledge of blueprints and layout workAbility to use shop arithmetic including decimals and fractionsAbility to use judgment to perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and proceduresMust have basic tools of tradeAttention to detail, quality, and safetyAbility to stay focused and work with little or no supervision requiredAdvanced knowledge of assembly working in mechanical and electrical assembly processesAbility to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environmentOshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
