This role offers the opportunity to get hands-on involvement in design analysis, testing, prototyping, and cross-team collaboration —offering comprehensive engineering involvement in the product life cycle and impact on the aggregate industry.A Design Engineer II is responsible for completing the following duties:Coordinate, design and detail custom vibratory equipment for the aggregate marketDesign and detail custom vibratory equipment Perform testing and prototyping of new productsAssist production teams and field teams in troubleshooting equipment issuesPerform design analysis for componentsCreate detail drawingsComplete bills of materialEvaluate and implement design changesOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related educationThorough understanding of:Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerancesMechanical power relationships such as horse power, torque, speed, ratiosShaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysisStrengths of materials and structural analysisMotion and dynamics principles such as g-force and natural frequencyTraining and/or experience in using SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor, Au or similar 3D CAD softwareTraining and/or experience in FEA simulation and interpretationStrong mechanical aptitudeExpectations of EmployeesEmbrace Core Values: Serving Others, High Integrity, Strong Work Ethic, Culture of Opportunity & Long-Term RelationshipsProjects are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations Component design is completed according to scheduleDesigns meet Superior Industries’ engineering standardsDesign analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurateUse SolidWorks, Windows-based, and Google-based programs effectivelyTraits of Successful EmployeesExcellent organizational and communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to complete tasks according to planned scheduleWillingness to help out where neededEmployee BenefitsWeekly paycheckMedical insurance - company covers 75% of premiumsDental, and vision InsurancePaid vacation Company paid life insurance401K retirement account with 5% company matchOn the spot bonuses up to $100Location: 3330 E 23rd Street, Columbus, NE 68601
