Truck Driver Class A CDL

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the safe transportation of materials between the Bellevue, OH plant and the Norwalk, OH plant multiple times daily, using the company's semi-truck and enclosed 53' trailers. The transported materials are non-flammable and non-food-grade. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in commercial semi-truck driving CDL Class A.. The role may also require the operation of box trucks or forklifts as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Safely operate semi-trucks to transport materials and goods to specified destinations within scheduled times. · Perform routine vehicle pre-inspections and promptly communicate any discrepancies with the vehicle, trailer, or cargo for immediate resolution. · Ensure cargo is properly secured, balanced, and that travel conditions are safe for vehicle operation. · Proactively communicate to the supervisor any potential deviations from the original trucking schedule. · Comply with all traffic laws and regulations necessary to safely operate the company’s vehicles. · Accurately record all trajectories, dock times, arrivals, and departures. · Report any issues related to maintenance, safety, or security that could compromise product quality or personnel safety. · Assess the overall condition of trailers, ensuring they are safe before proceeding with loading and operating forklifts inside. · Observe and report any unusual conditions or anomalies regarding company assets for immediate correction. · Ensure accurate check-in/check-out of visitors and comply with PPE and safety requirements before entering the plant. · Refuel vehicles as needed.
