Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. This role involves supporting lead teachers in all aspects of the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, experience working with children, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families. Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and behavior management strategies. Help prepare classroom materials, organize learning centers, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation. Supervise children actively during indoor, outdoor, and transition times, always ensuring adherence to ratio and safety standards. Assist with personal care routines including feeding, diapering/toileting, and nap time supervision. Step into the Lead Teacher role for short periods (ex. during lunch breaks). Quality Assessment: Manage and analyze child assessment data to identify program strengths and areas needing improvement. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development. Experience working with children with autism or disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to assist in lesson planning focused on literacy education, math skills, behavior management, and overall child development. Certification in childcare or early childhood education is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant coursework or training will be considered.
