Electrical Design Engineer

Our staff addresses the engineering and surveying needs of our clients by working as a team.Why join us?Competitive Base Salary!401K match, PTO, and excellent benefits!Accelerated Career Growth!Job DetailsResponsibilitiesDevelopment of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, etc.Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit for development of project plans for certain project types that may includesingle line diagrams, schematics, P&ID's, etc.Prepare and revise documentation in various project phases including site plans, diagrams, and details.Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.Provide review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports, andperforms other contract administration tasks.Development of job specific discipline specifications.Evaluation and selection of electrical systems and materials.Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.Apply technical expertise to meet project requirements within project timeframes and budget.Foster existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business.CapabilitiesThorough understanding of electrical and instrumentation engineering concepts and ability to effectivelycommunicate ideas to others.Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes.Ability to manage individual projects and also be part of a project team with ability to participate andcollaborate in project team setting.Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.Solid understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and instrumentationand controls.Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget andschedule.Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and/or Revit or other applicable software.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience.Ohio Professional Engineer's license REQUIRED.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
