Tanker Driver Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting liquid freight in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, route navigation, and the ability to handle various types of tanker trucks. The Tanker Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Operate tanker trucks to transport liquid freight to designated locations. Operate Tri-Axle Truck Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, following all safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Utilize manual transmission when necessary for optimal vehicle control. Assist with freight handling as required, including loading and unloading using forklifts or other equipment. Experience Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement is required. Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer or dump truck operations. Familiarity with route driving and logistics within the transportation industry. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Ability to handle freight safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in all driving practices.
