Investor Accounting Specialist

Join our dynamic team and enjoy the flexibility of remote work!The Investor Accounting Specialist will play a vital role in executing reconciliation projects, assessing various investor reports, and handling schedules and reports related to loan servicing. All activities must align with our company policies, as well as applicable US state and federal laws and regulations. This role offers a competitive pay rate between $38.00 - $42.00 per hour.Key Responsibilities:Conduct reconciliations of actual/actual, scheduled/actual, and scheduled/scheduled accounts for investor principal, interest, and taxes and insurance, ensuring compliance with the 30-day deadline required by Regulation AB.Investigate and resolve reconciling items within 90 days, adhering to the requirements set forth by Regulation AB.Analyze discrepancies in remittance data between investor accounting reports, the loan servicing system, and remittance reports to maintain accurate cash balances in custodial accounts.Validate incoming data from various departments and collaborate with those teams to rectify any discrepancies, including issues related to modification and liquidation reports.Provide support to team members as needed to ensure timely completion of reporting tasks.Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent work experience required; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.1 to 3 years of related experience in investor accounting, mortgage reporting, or similar roles.About Us:Carrington Mortgage Services, part of The Carrington Companies, offers comprehensive, full-lifecycle mortgage loan servicing support for both borrowers and investors, dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing the homeownership experience.
