Overview In this role, you apply advanced data science and statistics to health surveillance, operational, and military records to support human performance, readiness, and program effectiveness. You will work with cross-functional teams to design analyses, build models, and translate findings into strategic recommendations. ResponsibilitiesDesign and lead complex analyses on health surveillance and military dataProvide statistical support for studies on health outcomes and readinessDevelop innovative analytical methods for multifactorial problemsTransform raw records into analyzable datasetsConduct statistical modeling and longitudinal analyses using SAS, R, Python, MATLABDraft technical reports, visuals, and publications for leadership and stakeholdersCollaborate in interdisciplinary teams and translate findings into strategic recommendationsVerify and validate models; troubleshoot performance as neededDevelop data dictionaries, metadata, and documentation for analytic methodsEngage in conferences, posters, and manuscript preparationManage access to Air Force data repositories and systems Key requirementsMS in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, or closely related disciplineAt least 3 years of professional experience with mathematical and statistical methodsProficiency in at least two of: R, Python, MATLAB, Maple, Visual Basic (or similar); experience with SAS and SAS Enterprise GuideStrong understanding of statistical modeling processes including verification/validationProficiency in logical and set operationsAbility to learn analytical platforms such as Tableau, SAS Viya, or QualtricsAdvanced analytical skills in statistical modeling, decision analysis, and longitudinal data analysisStrong communication skills for documentation with minimal revisionAbility to work independently or in a multidisciplinary teamOrganizational skills and capability to manage multiple complex tasksCompliance with HIPAA training and secure handling of medical dataNDA requirement before performance startStrong communicationIndependent with multidisciplinary collaborationOrganizational skillsSAS and SAS Enterprise GuideRPython
