Registered Nurse – PCU Schedule: 12-hour nights, Every other weekend Work major holidays Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Requirements: - 1 year of PCU RN experience - RN License - ACLS Certification - BLS Certification - NIHSS Certification - Preferred: High acuity drip experience, arterial line experience, bipap-airvo experience Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care in a progressive care unit, monitoring patients with varying degrees of severity. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. - Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans. - Document patient assessments and care activities in compliance with facility policies. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to safety protocols. Compliance / Notes: - Orientation: Days 1 and 2 will be for standard orientation; Day 3 is unit-specific orientation; Days 4 and 5 will include continued clinical orientation and computer work. - Nicotine-free facility - Bi-weekly pay - Client allows the cancellation of one shift per pay period at no cost to the client and no pay to the THP, with a minimum of 2 hours notice required for cancellation. - Submittal requirements include a specific form.
