Supply Demand Planner
Overview
In this role you will forecast inventory levels and shape procurement strategies to optimize investments, balance service levels, and reduce stockouts. You’ll collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to align demand with supply and improve profitability and customer satisfaction. You’ll analyze trends, promotions, and seasonality to drive accurate plans and actionable insights. ResponsibilitiesForecast department- and vendor-level inventory and turnoverDevelop and execute procurement strategies to optimize investment and service levelsAnalyze trends to create sales and margin plans including promotions and seasonalityForecast demand using planning tools and provide procurement guidance to vendorsTrack and manage purchase orders; escalate critical supply chain issuesMonitor daily reports on inactive inventory, stockouts, and forecast exceptionsFoster vendor relationships and act as primary contact for inventory managementCollaborate with merchandising on inactive inventory disposition (returns/markdowns)Forecast and evaluate ad performance and seasonal promotions to maximize sales and marginPerform ad hoc analyses and forecast scenarios for profitabilityCollaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory policySupport supplier lead time reduction and reliability initiatives
Key requirementsBachelor in Supply Chain Management or related field; or equivalent work experience2+ years in inventory management, forecasting, and procurement within supply chainAdvanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)Proficiency in data analysis tools and ability to communicate complex quantitative recommendationsStrong analytical thinking with track record of data-driven decision makingAccess to perform detailed statistical analysis and inventory modelingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and organizational skillsCollaborative and able to influence stakeholdersAdvanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)SQL or Python (preferred)MicroStrategy or Power BI (or related data mining tools)
