Embedded Software Engineer
Overview
As a member of the IDEX-Dispensing team, you will design and implement embedded drivers and firmware for real‑time systems, collaborating across global units to deliver reliable IoT products. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain embedded drivers and firmware with a focus on C for embedded systemsDevelop and support real-time embedded applications using RTOS for reliability and scalabilityLead board support package (BSP) development, bring-up, and hardware validationUtilize Python or similar scripting to automate testing and development workflowsCommunicate effectively across engineering teams and align with performance, quality, and delivery standardsDrive technical collaboration with cross‑functional teams, external partners, suppliers, and contractors to deliver high‑quality solutions
Key requirementsMinimum 5 years of embedded driver/firmware development in CStrong BSP/board bring-up experienceSolid understanding of control systems, algorithms, and signal processingKnowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, DMA, I2S; USB is a plusExperience with OLED display drivers; ability to read schematics and interfacesProficiency with oscilloscopes, debuggers, logic analyzersExperience using Python for test code; version control with SVN or GitHands-on, with ability to conduct design reviews and engage third‑party workWillingness to work hands-on and leverage AI tools for codingEffective communication across teamsStrong collaboration with cross‑functional groupsHands-on problem solving and debugging mindsetC programming for embedded systemsRTOS for real-time applicationsBoard support package (BSP) development
