Manufacturing Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Rocklin, CA 2 shifts available: AM shift: 6:30am - 2:00pm PM Shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm Pay Rate: 1st Shift: $22/hr. Pay Rate: 2nd shift: $23.54/hr. Contract position 1 year , possibly longer Job Description: The Lab Tech participates in entry-level lab production duties, such as filling antibodies, labeling, packaging, shipping and other duties as assigned Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Filling Antibodies o Maintains the filling area stock and cleanliness as needed for continuous use. o Practices sterile techniques during the use of equipment specific to filling tasks. o Utilizes micropipettes, repeater pipettes, and pump systems to extract and dispense solutions into appropriate container, according to standard operating procedures. • Labeling: o Assembles and washes dispensers used for product filling. o Prints and applies product labels based on a production plan. • Packaging: o Packages products using standardized techniques and practices. o Stocks area inventories as necessary. • Shipping: o Processes and packages orders internally using associated computer programs, equipment, and documentation. o Pulls products for shipment based on picking sheets. o Facilitates and maintains communication with production department and the customer service department to ensure that all orders are shipped as needed. o Packs product for shipping based on company standards. o Stocks products as necessary. o Maintains organization and cleanliness of the shipping and receiving area. o Signs for shipments to the company o Interacts with the customer service staff to complete special order requirements. Minimum Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent education required. Minimum of 1 year production experience required. Experience working in an FDA or other regulated industry preferred. Lean manufacturing experience preferred. Shipping experience preferred. Skills: Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively. Oral Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification. Mathematical: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide three digit numbers. Read/Analyze/Interpret: Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and e-mails. Write: Able to write simple correspondence and e-mails. Speak: Able to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations of employees of the organization. Computer Skills: Experience with emails and calendaring required. Prefer experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. on occasion without assistance.
