IDO Solution Architect

Overview In this role you drive industrial data architecture across OT, edge, and enterprise environments, guiding foundation advisory and implementation workstreams. You act as the technical voice in senior client discussions, translating plant-floor realities into practical architecture. You collaborate with delivery leadership to hand off cloud data platform work while steering architecture decisions on Cognite Data Fusion engagements. You combine controls/automation background with data architecture expertise to connect operations and IT at scale. ResponsibilitiesLead foundation advisory and implementation workstreams for industrial data or OT integration programsDefine OT-up architecture including UNS design, ISA-95 asset modeling, and contextualization strategyTranslate plant-floor realities into practical architecture decisions in client conversationsCollaborate with Delivery Manager to hand off cloud data platform layer and guide ongoing architectureCoordinate with Cognite Platform Architects on Cognite Data Fusion engagementsMaintain platform-agnostic architecture perspective while aligning with specific implementationsRead P&ID and walk plant floors to understand operational processesMentor and provide guidance to team members Key requirementsExperience leading industrial data architecture across OT, edge, and enterprise environmentsAbility to define UNS, ISA-95/ISA-88 asset modeling, contextualization, and integration topologyDeep understanding of connections between historian systems, edge platforms, and enterprise systemsExperience leading advisory and implementation workstreams for industrial data or OT integrationStrong ability to communicate as a technical voice with VP- and Director-level clientsComfortable walking a plant floor and reading P&IDBackground in controls/automation with progression into data architectureFamiliarity with ISA-95/ISA-88, OPC UA/UNS, historian systems or edge platforms (two of these)Ability to maintain platform-agnostic architecture while meeting implementation needsBachelor's degreeAbility to travel 50%Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipStrong written and verbal communicationMentorship and guidance to othersAbility to lead projects or workstreamsIndustrial data architecture across OT/edge/enterpriseUNS design and ISA-95/ISA-88 asset modelingContextualization strategy for OT/IT data
