Strategy Operational Planner (military operations planning)

In this role you will support the Communication and Strategy (COMMSTRAT) Division with deliberate communication planning. In this role you will provide technical leadership and direction to either MARFPRPAC or PACAF and subordinate staff personnel in the development, revision, and review of Operational Plans (OPLANS) and Contingency Plans (CONPLANS).Day to Day Responsibilities:Assist the staff planners in the development of strategic and operational communication concepts for new OPLANs/CONPLANs and possible branch plans to existing OPLANS/CONPLANs.Make recommendations, where appropriate, to change planning procedures or ways of conducting planning to the MARFORPAC staff and subordinate command staffs.Support higher, adjacent and supporting headquarters planning ensuring proper employment of COMMSTRAT forces; and review and provide written comments on COMMSTRAT aspects of regional combatant commander and JTF OPLANS/CONPLANS.Required Qualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance.Master's degree. Will consider an additional 8 years' experience with bachelor's degree OR 12 years' work experience may be substituted for a master's degree.10+ years of operations planning experience at MAJCOM, Combatant Command or equivalent.Demonstrated understanding of Planning Process and the Research, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation (RPIE) public planning process.Demonstrated understanding of C2IE, a DoD system of record for strategic OAI management.Five to 10 years of experience with USMC MAGTF Planning.In-depth knowledge of operational planning, communication synchronization, service and joint doctrine, and Marine Corps competency issues.Advanced proficiency with using Microsoft applications such as Excel, Teams, Words, Power Pt., etc.Possess a working knowledge of the Pacific theater, and an understanding of the relationships and general interactions between each nation.Preferred Qualifications:Strong interpersonal/social skills; proven staff officer/contractor support excellence.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Masters of Arts or Science degree of higher and 10+ years of relevant experience.12 years' work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years' work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to: business considerations, local market, internal equity, candidate qualifications such as skills, education and experience.
