Job Overview The Recruitment & Student Success Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the academic and extracurricular activities of students. This position involves engaging with students, facilitating communication between various departments, and ensuring that all student-related processes run smoothly. The Recruitment & Student Success Coordinator for the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) provides leadership, implementation and support for identifying, recruiting, retaining and graduating quality students. The Coordinator assists the School of AHSS with actively recruiting potential students for its undergraduate and graduate programs at Lincoln Memorial University, while promoting an environment supportive of academic success for all undergraduate students. This position also responds to the needs of the LMU Office of Admissions Department as a general LMU recruiter and will be assigned to travel for the Office of Admissions during the academic year. This position reports to the Dean of the School of AHSS. Responsibilities Coordinating internal and external outreach, and undergraduate student recruitment and retention; Providing effective and efficient registration coordination and support for all students; Encouraging positive faculty-student relations; Monitoring department/program student enrollment progress and retention; Monitoring and managing enrollment of underrepresented students; Advising students on policies that relate to fellowships and financial support for all students; Assisting the School in creating and maintaining a supportive academic environment for its students; Disseminating information about undergraduate and graduate studies in all programs at Lincoln Memorial University to institutions and organizations in the state, region and nation, or wherever prospective students of high quality are found; Assisting the social media coordinator and marketing staff, particularly in online marketing in a manner which promotes healthy program and departmental enrollments; Coordinating recruitment and retention plans and strategies with parallel offices at Lincoln Memorial University, giving special attention to University enrollment and marketing initiatives and opportunities; Serving as the recruitment/retention liaison for the School of AHSS with other University divisions and offices; Assisting Lincoln Memorial University faculty and staff in support of increasing program enrollments and developing and revising recruitment plans; Developing recruiting materials; Guiding the development, monitoring, implementation and monitoring of a unified student recruitment and retention plan for the School of AHSS; Fostering and monitoring special intrastate and institutional partnerships for the establishment of student recruitment initiatives; Advising the School s leadership team on all options for improving and expanding the internal and external visibility of the School of AHSS; completing required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of the university programs, both on campus and at specified off-campus sites; Participate in “Welcome Weekend” at the beginning of Fall semester; organizing and conducting the AHSS Advising portion of New Student Registrations (NSR) throughout the Spring and Summer. NSR events may be on Saturdays; working for Admissions as a recruiter on-campus, in the wider community, and recruiting events in an assigned recruiting region; traveling for the Office of Admissions will be necessary and required, usually no more than four weeks in the Fall; Keep constant track of enrollment data to include enrollment, applications, acceptances, with comparison information across years; Qualifications A bachelors degree in one of the degree programs supported by the School; experience in comparable roles, and knowledge of or willingness and ability to learn university administration/marketing functions (i.e. student recruitment and retention, counseling and advising, market planning and development, etc.) Excellent organization skills, willingness to travel. This role is essential in fostering a supportive environment for students while ensuring that all administrative functions are executed effectively.
