Project Manager – Data Center Commercial Construction – San Jose, CAPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee a complex, fast-paced data center construction project within a design-build setting. This role supports the entire project lifecycle in a design-build environment and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in technically demanding, high-velocity projects.The PM will collaborate closely with Project Managers, site leadership, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and operational readiness.This position requires on-site and off-site attendance. Some travel may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and oversee all stages of data center construction.Lead and oversee all phases of commercial construction from preconstruction through commissioning and project closeout.Serve as point of contact for internal leadership, clients, contractors, and consultants, maintaining a professional, solution-oriented presence.Ensure full alignment with the project scope, budget, schedule, and contractual obligations, and proactively drive performance against established milestones.Direct coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution and issue resolution.Oversee daily construction operations to maintain quality standards, enforce code compliance, and uphold safety protocols.Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, field directives, pay applications, and contract documentation to protect project interests.Maintain accurate, organized project documentation in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).Own the project schedule, monitor critical path activities, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain delivery timelines.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, resolving conflicts proactively to prevent impact to cost or schedule.Attend OAC and subcontractor coordination meetings, driving accountability and action items to closure.Manage cost control processes, validate change management, forecast financial performance, and maintain budget integrity.Oversee commissioning readiness, ensure system completion, and lead successful transition to operations.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related experienceExperience supporting mission-critical, MEP-intensive, and large-scale commercial construction projectsProven experience with data center construction or similar high-availability infrastructure environmentsStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in critical applications facilitiesProficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.Proven ability to handle multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skillsPreferred QualificationsPMP, CCM, PE, or an equivalent professional certificationExperience in design-build delivery methodsExposure to commissioning procedures and mission-critical system transfers.Previous on-site experience supporting fast-track or hyperscale projects.Strong understanding of Electrical EngineeringWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleInformation is accurate, timely, and well-coordinated across teamsRisks are identified early and addressed proactively.Field execution aligns with the design intent and owner requirements.Documentation facilitates smooth commissioning and operational transition.Project advances with discipline, clarity, and confidence.Salary Range$150,000. - $200,000.
