Job Description Caliber Manufacturing, LLCCaliber Manufacturing, a machine shop in De Pere, WI, has an opening for a CNC Bore Bar Machinist to join our team environment and run our Fanuc-controlled Bore Bar. Caliber machines a variety of metal parts and castings for their customers in the food, mining, pump, and valve industry.Located on the southern edge of De Pere, just off Highway 41, Caliber is minutes from Green Bay and a short drive from the Fox Valley – Appleton, Neenah and Menasha.Job SummaryCaliber is looking for a skilled machinist to join our team on first shift, Monday -Thursday, 10-hour shifts, OR Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts.Responsibilities and DutiesProgram, set up and operate a Fanuc-controlled boring bar to mill and drill a wide variety of work maintaining a high degree of accuracy and strict tolerances (must be skilled in G-code)Set-up which includes using overhead cranes to align and secure large irregular work pieces having several interrelated dimensionsSelect speeds and feeds, tooling and operational sequences; lay out references points and boring locationObserve drilling or boring machine operations to detect any problemsInspect machined parts to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, and other measuring tools and devicesCommunicate with supervisors, engineering, quality control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issuesMaintain cleanliness throughout work areaBe a Team PlayerQualifications and SkillsREQUIRED: 4 YEARS of MACHINING AND PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE in a Job Shop environmentStrong blueprint reading and an understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances of finished work piecesProficient math skills, up to and including trigonometry, to calculate dimensions and verify measurementsDemonstrated ability to use a variety of inspection toolsKnowledge of manufacturing process, machine tooling and fixturing, set-up, and preventative maintenancePhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsAble to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with bending, stooping and reachingAll personal protective equipment must be worn when necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes. etc.)Company Benefits and PerksPaid lunchesHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceCompany paid Life InsurancePaid HolidaysPaid Time OffReferral ProgramCaliber Manufacturing is an equal opportunity employer.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: Competitive and Commensurate with experienceSchedule:Day ShiftFlexible start time4x10Monday – Thursday5x8Monday - FridayAbility to commute/relocate:De Pere, WI 54115: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location:In personE04JI800fchm4071bjb
