Role Summary We are seeking a Development Project Manager to lead the end-to-end development process for new site construction and major site enhancements. This role is instrumental in ensuring projects move efficiently from concept through permitting and into construction while balancing cost, risk, and timeline considerations. You will oversee entitlements, civil engineering design, permitting, and consultant management while serving as a key connector across real estate, construction, and engineering teams. Your ability to anticipate challenges, optimize designs, and maintain compliance will directly impact project success and overall portfolio growth. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full development lifecycle of new site construction projects, from entitlement through permitting and handoff to constructionDevelop and maintain project timelines, critical paths, and strategic plans to ensure efficient executionLead civil engineering design processes by coordinating with external consultants and ensuring alignment with company standardsSecure zoning approvals, variances, permits, and required municipal approvals in a timely and cost-effective mannerOversee consultant relationships, including civil, geotechnical, and permitting partners, ensuring quality, cost control, and accountabilityPrepare and manage detailed project cost estimates, identifying risks and opportunities for value engineeringReview and interpret geotechnical reports, providing recommendations and cost-effective design alternativesCoordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties on utilities, easements, contracts, and regulatory complianceSupport construction teams by resolving design and permitting issues and minimizing project risk and liabilityKey Requirements5+ years of experience in civil engineering, site development, or construction project managementBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related accredited programStrong knowledge of civil design, geotechnical engineering, and site development processesExperience managing permitting, zoning, and regulatory approval processes across multiple jurisdictionsProficiency with Microsoft Project, MS Office, and AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)Demonstrated experience managing external consultants and negotiating professional service agreementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess cost and riskExcellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyCall to Action If you're an experienced development professional looking to take ownership of impactful projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we want to connect with you.
