COLLISION BODY SHOP MANAGER (7268)
Position Summary:The Collision Center Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of collision repair operations at Team Chevrolet GMC of Salisbury. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to drive operational efficiency, profitability, customer satisfaction, and team development within a high-volume collision center. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in collision repair operations, insurance relations, production management, and financial performance. This individual will oversee all phases of the repair process and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and manufacturer standards. This facility maintains active DRP relationships with major insurance carriers, including State Farm and USAA, providing consistent repair volume and business stability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the collision center, ensuring efficient workflow and productionManage all phases of the repair process from estimate through deliveryLead, develop, and retain collision center staff including technicians, estimators, and support personnelMonitor and manage production KPIs including cycle time, severity, and efficiency metricsEnsure all repairs meet quality standards and minimize rework or comebacksEstablish and enforce standard operating procedures to improve consistency and productivityPartner with insurance adjusters and carriers to manage approvals, supplements, and claims processesMaintain and improve DRP relationships with major carriersManage departmental financial performance including revenue, gross profit, labor efficiency, and expensesOversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, returns, and inventory controlHandle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution and customer satisfactionEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all safety regulationsCollaborate with dealership leadership to support overall business objectives and growth Compensation and Benefits:Base salary plus performance bonus structureTotal compensation range: $125,000 - $200,000+ annuallyMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesRelocation assistance available for qualified candidates Work Environment:Fast-paced, high-volume collision repair facilityRegular interaction with employees, customers, insurance representatives, and vendorsEnvironment includes exposure to noise, chemicals, fumes, and varying temperatures typical of a body shop setting Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsOccasional lifting of up to 25 lbsAbility to navigate shop environment safely and effectively Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business Management, or related field preferred Experience:Minimum 5+ years of experience in a collision repair environmentMinimum 3+ years of leadership experience in a collision center or body shop management roleProven success in improving production efficiency, cycle time, and profitabilityExperience working with insurance carriers and DRP programsExperience managing budgets and analyzing financial performance Skills and Competencies:Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skillsHigh-level understanding of collision repair operations and workflowsStrong business and financial acumenExcellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsProficiency with estimating systems (CCC ONE, Audatex, or similar)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentResults-driven mindset focused on operational excellence
