Cashier PositionAs a cashier you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service.Responsibilities:Assisting customers with locating products, answering inquiries, and providing information about promotions or discountsAccurately and efficiently process customer purchases with cash, credit/debit cards or other payment methodsEnsuring correct change is provided if it is a cash transactionCounting and reconciling cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shiftStay informed about products, prices and promotions to effectively assist customers and promote salesPromoting store loyalty programs, discounts and or special promotions to encourage customer participationEfficiently bag and package customer purchase, ensuring items are handled with careOffering assistance to customers with carrying their bags or locating cartsResolve customer concerns or issues related to the transaction with a positive and helpful attitudeAdhering to security measures such as checking identification for age restricted purchase and monitoring for fraudulent activityAdhere to all company safety standardsPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipEnvironment:Able to work in different environmental temperaturesSchedule:Have a flexible schedule, weekends holidays and eveningsPay:$ 13.50 per hourExperience:Preferred: Zero - One (0-1) year retail experience or relevant experienceServeSafe certification or comparableSkills:Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etcStrong communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest qualityQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectivesSafety culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
