TITLE: Process Development Associate- Downstream LOCATION: Frederick, MD REQ#: 22-002 Overview: Jecho Laboratories, Inc. (Jecho) is a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative therapeutic biologics, including monoclonal antibodies, cytokines, immunotoxins, and vaccines for cancer treatment. The company headquarters is located in Frederick Maryland, USA. We are seeking a Process Development Associate to join our R&D team in Frederick, MD. Qualified individuals will execute small-scale downstream process development and analytical studies. The ideal candidate will exercise appropriate technical judgment in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments. The candidate will receive general instructions from a supervisor for routine work and assignments. The candidate is expected to be eager to learn, highly productive, well organized, and self-motivated. Essential Job Functions: · Conduct experiments in protein recovery and purification process development using column chromatography and various other technologies. · Conduct routine biological product handling, and physical and biochemical analysis, such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, UF/DF, Western Blot, and ELISA. · Work with Discovery, Upstream Process Development, and Analytical Development to provide support in material generation and analysis. · Generate and maintain experimental data in a highly organized manner. Prepare technical reports. Minimum Requirements: · Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in biological science, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related fields. · 0-3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology field. · A good understanding of recombinant protein structure and purification mechanisms. · Basic knowledge in protein chemistry and analytical methods · Basic computer software skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. · Ability to work effectively in a team. Motivated and willing to work on a variety of tasks. · Hands-on experience with chromatographic instrument, DOE software, cell culture/fermentation is preferred. This position may require you standing/sitting/walking in the lab for routinely 8 hours and sometimes up to 12 hours, as well as lifting weight up to 30 pounds.
