Alarm Administration & Life-Safety Monitoring Coordinator

Job Description Electronic Security Services, Inc. (ESSI) is seeking a detail-oriented Alarm Administration & Monitoring Coordinator to manage the accuracy, compliance, and communication of monitored alarm accounts, primarily within multifamily and property-managed environments.This role serves as a critical link between ESSI, our central monitoring station, and property management clients, ensuring alarm systems are properly configured, compliant, documented, and clearly understood by all responsible parties.This position is ideal for someone who excels in structured data entry, understands the importance of life-safety systems, and communicates confidently and professionally with customers.(Please not this is an in-person role, not a remote opportunity)Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update monitored fire, intrusion, panic, elevator phone, and emergency systems within ESSI databases and central station platformsAccurately manage and audit responsible party and call lists, ensuring correct contacts, escalation order, and authorizationProcess customer change requests related to monitoring, contacts, reporting formats, and system conditionsInterpret and communicate Contact ID / AlarmNet / reporting codes and system conditions reported by the central station (e.g., phone line failures, low batteries, communication loss, test failures)Clearly explain alarm events, system troubles, and required corrective actions to property managers and responsible partiesCoordinate with the central station to ensure proper signal handling and documentationVerify alarm systems are registered with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) when required and maintain all supporting documentation on fileEnsure monitoring records meet contractual, compliance, and life-safety standardsTrack issues through resolution and follow up until confirmation is receivedMaintain strict confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive customer and life-safety informationRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to explain technical or alarm-related information clearly to non-technical customersStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to remain calm and professional when handling urgent or sensitive situationsAbility to follow structured processes while taking ownership of assigned accountsComfortable working independently and as part of a teamReliable, dependable, and detail-driven work ethicEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious customer service or administrative experience preferredExperience with property management, security systems, or alarm monitoring is a plusAbility to learn alarm databases and monitoring platformsIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookEfficient and accurate typing/data entry requiredProfessional phone presence, tone, and etiquette requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experiencePaid weekly (Direct Deposit available)Paid trainingPaid holidays and paid time offMedical benefits401(k) with company match up to 2.5%Company DescriptionElectronic Security Services, Inc.
