Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Wrapper for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. The Production Wrapper is responsible for the final preparation of finished goods for warehouse storage and shipping, ensuring proper wrapping, labeling, and quality control of products while maintaining efficiency and safety standards. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and proper preparation for storage and shipping while maintaining safety and efficiency standards in the production environment. Direction comes from the Shift Supervisor. This will be a 3/2 rotating night shift schedule from 7pm-7am: Sun/Wed/Thurs; Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat.Key Responsibilities:Wrap pallets and apply identification tags per customer specifications while performing final quality control checksBox inventory rolls and skids from rewind operations, ensuring proper handling and storageOperate core cutter efficiently, optimizing configurations and minimizing wasteMaintain T-CART's and conveyor lines for continuous slitting operationsUtilize PRISM/MRP systems for pallet tracking, job checkout, and data entryCreate and apply finished goods labels and file job jackets for Finishing DepartmentOperate forklifts and mobile equipment safely, including completing required safety checksPerform regular equipment maintenance checks, including battery inspections and hoist monitoringMaintain accurate wrapping supply inventory and ensure adequate stock levelsComplete daily safety and 5S audit logs according to company proceduresMaintain department cleanliness through 5S Standards and cleaning checklistsAdhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing daily tasksEducation & Experience:Experience in manufacturing environment a plusRequired Skills:Stand-up forklift experience requiredBasic computer proficiencyAttention to detailAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic mathematical skillsTime management and organizational skillsAbility to read and understand production schedulesMathematical skills for inventory countingKnowledge of warehouse management systemsUnderstanding of safety protocolsBasic problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented mindsetAdditional Requirements:Must be 18 years of ageMust pass pre-employment assessmentDrug screening requiredBackground check requiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of warehouse safety proceduresMaterial handling equipment operation (forklifts, scanners, pallet jack)Inventory management practicesProficiency in warehouse management systemsStrong communication skillsTeam-oriented mindsetProblem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and accuracyBasic computer operationSafe lifting techniquesTime managementCommunicationWork independently and as part of a teamPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 poundsStanding/walking for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts)Frequent bending, twisting, stooping and reachingAbility to push/pull heavy objectsManual dexterity for operating equipmentWork in various temperature conditionsExposure to normal warehouse environmentRegular exposure to moving machineryUse of ladders and other equipmentForklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and pallet jacksAbility to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)Work Conditions:Noise levels above 80 dBOperation of complex machinerySolvents, fumes and inksVariable temperaturesMust be able to work flexible shiftsMay require nights, weekends, and holidaysAdditional $2.50 premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am.
