Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced SFC Developer / Manufacturing Systems Developer to develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance our manufacturing SFC/MES systems.This is a developer-level position. The primary focus is code-level analysis, software development, database changes, API development, system-logic analysis, debugging, and permanent resolution of complex SFC issues.The ideal candidate has strong Java, Oracle/PLSQL, software troubleshooting, and logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand the relationship between manufacturing processes, application logic, and database data.The position will work closely with the SFC development team, onsite IT, IE, PE, QA, manufacturing, and other technical teams. Chinese-speaking ability is preferred.Key Responsibilities1. SFC Development & TroubleshootingDevelop, maintain, enhance, and support SFC/MES applications.Perform source-code analysis, debugging, and system-logic analysis to identify root causes.Troubleshoot complex production issues using application logs, source code, APIs, database records, and manufacturing-process analysis.Implement permanent software fixes rather than temporary workarounds.Develop new functions and modify existing SFC functionality.Support the continued development of the SFC platform, with a primary focus on Java-based technologies.2. Database & API DevelopmentDevelop and maintain Oracle SQL/PLSQL, including:Stored proceduresFunctionsPackagesQueriesAnalyze production data and perform controlled data corrections when required.Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot REST APIs and system integrations.Analyze application, API, and database interactions to resolve system issues.3. Manufacturing System KnowledgeDevelop a strong understanding of SFC/MES processes, including:Work orders and routingStation/process controlSerial number trackingMaterial traceabilityQuality controlRepair/reworkProduction tracking and testingPacking and shipmentUnderstand how manufacturing processes are translated into application logic, database transactions, and system controls.4. Collaboration & DeploymentWork closely with the SFC development team to resolve complex technical issues.Collaborate with IT, IE, PE, QA, manufacturing, and other technical teams.Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production validation.Document system logic, root causes, corrective actions, and permanent fixes.Support production issues when software-level intervention is required.Required QualificationsStrong professional experience in Java software development.Strong Oracle Database and SQL/PLSQL experience.Experience with one or more of:Spring BootMyBatisJava Web / ServletREST APIsBackend developmentStrong source-code analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.Strong logical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.Ability to understand complex application logic and unfamiliar source code.Good understanding of relational databases, transactions, stored procedures, and data integrity.Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed development teams.Strong ownership and responsibility for production system stability.Chinese-speaking ability strongly preferred.Education & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field preferred.Equivalent education combined with strong relevant software development experience may be considered.Relevant certifications in Java, Oracle/SQL/PLSQL, Spring/Spring Boot, software engineering, database development, Linux, MES, or SFC technologies are a plus.Preferred QualificationsExperience with SFC, MES, manufacturing execution, or shop-floor systems.Experience in electronics or high-volume manufacturing.Understanding of SMT, assembly, testing, repair/rework, and packing processes.Experience with manufacturing databases and production data analysis.Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.Experience with Git/version control and software deployment.Linux and/or Windows application experience.Delphi/Pascal experience is a plus, particularly for supporting legacy SFC modules, but is not a primary requirement. Future SFC development will primarily be Java-based.Key Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a software engineer, not simply an onsite support specialist.The candidate should be able to:Read and understand existing source code.Analyze application architecture and system logic.Trace issues from the manufacturing process through application code and database transactions.Identify root causes using logs, source code, APIs, and database data.Make appropriate code, database, or API changes.Test, deploy, and validate permanent solutions.Quickly learn complex SFC functionality.Take ownership of an issue through final resolution.Position Scope & Development ExpectationsComplex SFC issues may require source-code review, system-logic analysis, database procedure changes, API changes, data correction, or code-level debugging.
